Model 9000 Distillation Process

Distillation is the oldest, safest and most reliable purification process. The mechanical process of distillation follows an identical pattern to nature's Hydrological Cycle. Based on nature’s way of purifying water, distillation uses evaporation, condensation and cooling to separate pure, fresh water from contaminants. Distillation is the single most effective water treatment method and will produce consistent quality of water regardless of the source of the water. Distillation is the only process that collects the pure steam and then cool it down into pure water.

Simply fill the removable boiler chamber of the Waterwise 9000 water distiller with ordinary tap water and plug into any standard electrical outlet. Push the start button … and that’s it! The unit will stop automatically when the cycle is finished!

  • Ordinary tap water is heated to 212° F (100° C) killing microbes such as bacteria, cysts and viruses that may be present.
  • Steam rises leaving behind dead microbes, dissolved solids, salts, heavy metals and other substances.
  • Low boiling light gases that may be present are discharged through the gaseous vent.
  • Pure steam is condensed in the stainless steel coil.
  • Purified/distilled water then percolates through a coconut shell carbon filter, enhancing the quality aeration, degasification and adsorption of VOC’s (volatile organic compounds).
  • The 100% steam distilled water is collected in the 1 US gallon (3.8 litres) polycarbonate light weight and portable collector/dispenser bottle and is ready for drinking and cooking.
  • The prolonged boiling process of distillation is the most effective method of killing and removing bacteria and viruses. There is no other process as efficient or reliable.

When adopted for use in a home distiller, it is the one water treatment technology that most consistently reduces widest range of environmental and man-made drinking water contaminants, including biological, organic and inorganic impurities.
